The Kitchen – TV Show
Weekly 30-minute TV show on culture and subculture
SCCA/pro.ba from 2004 until 2007 produced and showed over 120 30-minute TV shows of a unique approach. This alternative TV show on culture observed and questioned culture and society from different angles. Carefully chosen subjects, which crossed into the domain of avant-garde, were presented in different chapters (columns): Main Course, Side Dish, Snack, Salad, Dessert, Aperitif…
In its first season (2004/2005) the Kitchen succeeded in identifying and locating a dispersed cultural and artistic scene in Bosnia and Herzegovina. In its second season it articulated the potential of that scene and established its role in international context. In the third and its last season (2006/2007) The Kitchen moved from local to global aspect of cultural initiatives, bringing more stories and subjects from the recent avant-garde scene in the field of arts and culture, and related to contemporary social currents. Assertion of (young) people with opinion was the hallmark of the editorial policy of this show.
